When I saw that they had updated the packaging, I didn't panic at all because I assumed the formula inside would be the same. I have been looking for a moisturizer that would last more than an hour or two and thought I'd try this as I heard hyaluronic acid was a great moisturizer. It certainly is a great moisturizer but I was also amazed to find that my crow's feet almost disappeared too. This serum goes a long way and it should be considered a base pre-moisturizer which you will then apply your normal moisturizer on top of which will make this stuff last longer as it isn't cheap but it is worth every penny.

I had virtually zero understanding of the needle therapy and stumbled across it by accident. After reading hours of reviews although still a bit skeptical I went ahead and ordered the 1.0mm. The concept here is that as the device rolls along the skin, these needles penetrate the upper layers of skin producing thousands of tiny puncture marks in the skin to create a controlled injury underneath the skin's surface, thereby inducing the body to respond by producing more collagen in that area. The skin plumps and thickens in response to the stimulus thus reducing fine lines, scars and stretch marks. Now, common sense did step up to the plate for me on the cleanliness and sterilization issues. Wash your face and any other part of your body that will be treated as well as your hands and work area. I put my hair back in a ponytail away from my face. Remember, you are creating open wounds albeit very tiny they are still susceptible to infection. I followed some instructions I found on-line that seemed to make the most sense considering the ones that came with the unit were minimal and uninformed. I steamed my face over a pan of boiling water slightly just prior to rolling to open my pores. I then ran the roller over my skin several times first across and then up and down. I don't go back and forth but if you do, Lift the dermaroller slightly after each forward movement This ensures that you will not hit the same hole repeatedly. Do not press too hard as it is not necessary and the needles will only go as far as their length. As a general guide, roll it over the area to be treated 8-10 times or 2~3 minutes. I did my first session in the morning and followed with Pure Hyaluronic Acid which I bought through Amazon for $14. My skin had the sensation of a mild sunburn and slight reddening that went away after a few hours. The pain level during the procedure was tolerable and I didn't feel the need for numbing cream or anesthetic. Later that evening after my common sense retired I decided to go again and this time I would treat my arms, top and under, thighs and tummy plus my face again. Hey, the more the better right? Wrong... IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED TO NEEDLE EVERY DAY. TREATING YOUR SKIN BEFORE IT HAS HAD TIME TO HEAL WILL ONLY REOPEN THE WOUNDS AND INTERFERE WITH THE HEALING PROCESS. Then to add insult to injury, I followed up with a big slather of Retin-A cream. That's not a good idea considering the pores are opened up and basically raw and Retin-A being acidic well, burns.... really bad. The next morning I found most of my body pretty much back to normal but my poor face was puffy, red and sensitive and remained that way for two days. However, I have noticed a remarkable improvement in skin tone and the lines on my face are smoother especially the smile or joker lines. I have a few sun spots on my forearms as well and they are considerably lighter and smaller with only two treatments. I am convinced that Micro-needling truly helps minimize wrinkles and scarring and will continue this therapy with great anticipation in reaping it's benefits over a longer period of time.



NOTE: Don't forget to thoroughly disinfect the dermaroller after each use.

You can boil water, remove from heat and place the dermaroller in the water. Leave it for a few minutes then allow it to air dry on clean paper towels. Make sure it is completely dry and completely cool before using it or before putting it back in the protective container it comes with. Do not use a metal or copper pot, only glass or porcelain.

Or,

liquid Household Bleach. 1/2 a teaspoon of bleach in a 2 quart pot filled with hot water will help keep your dermaroller germ free. Allow it to soak for at least 10 minutes. Remove and rinse thoroughly under hot, running water. NEVER SHARE YOUR DERMAROLLER.



UPDATE: 10/24-13

It's now two days after my third needle treatment and I am continually amazed at the rate my skin seems to be rejuvenating. The sun spots on my arms became a bit flaky but since have virtually disappeared. I also experienced some dry patches around my forearms and where my pants hug my waist but nothing drastic. I am comfortable with needling every 7-8 days but it varies with each individual and how fast or slow you heal. I am most pleased with the affect this procedure is having on my jowls and joker (smile) lines. I am seeing a noticeable change daily. My husband asked me the other day if I did anything different to my hair because something looked different in a good way. (that's 20 yrs of marriage for you, it took me a two weeks to notice he had shaved off his beard last year). Anyway, I cannot stress enough that needling for me is truly helping reverse the hands of time and I am so thankful I stumbled across this site.



UPDATE: 12/07-13

I am seeing positive results daily! Jowls and joker lines are firming and lifting, skin tone is radiant. Minor scars on my face that I have had since I was a child are virtually gone. I have taken before and after pics and trying to figure out how to post them here.

Started using the Eye Zone Lifting Massager Micro-mini Current in conjunction with needling. Still a bit early to comment but I will keep you posted.

I'm a guy and so I wasn't as well versed or educated about skin care products as women my age are. I only found out about skin care regimens over a year ago (and I'm in my mid-20s approaching my late 20s). As a guy, I thought, solely washing my face was sufficient. I went to a esthetician for a microdermabrasion appointment, due to the hyperpigmentation after marks and she questioned me about what cleanser, exfoliator, moisturizer, etc., I was using. I was surprised at my lack of knowledge. I didn't know what any of those, aside from a cleanser, was for, including exfoliating products like this. So I did a little research about what an exfoliator, moisturizer, toner, etc. was, seen the high reviews for this product, and bought this. I gave it five stars because the beads provide the necessary function of an exoliator in cleansing away the dead skin cells on the surface (epidermis-outer layer) of the skin that cleansers don't efficiently or effectively handle. Plus, although it does contain chemicals, I'm far more concerned with utilizing chemical peel. I bought a glycolic acid peel on here, used it a couple of times, and despite reading the instructions, was concerned because I didn't know if I was doing it right. Chemical peels also exfoliate the skin, but can be very hazardous if you're not highly knowledgeable about what you're doing or if you're not being cared for by an expert-and there's no f'ing way I'm going to pay approximately $100-$200 a week solely for an exfoliation. The part you should be careful with when using this product, is when you use this against your face. I've had episodes, including now, where the jagged beads left a red/pink mark on my face. So when you're applying this to your face and scrubing your face, don't apply pressure to the beads because they'll also apply pressure to your skin. Just gently move the beads across your face, let it to the job for you. Let it scrape off the dead skin cells so that new and fresh ones become exposed and accessed. People like to discuss the smell of products. For me, how a product smells is almost of no value, unless it's unbearably pungent. I only care if a product is working properly and effectively for me. But the smell is pleasant. Now another important portion of this review, part of the reason that this item has gotten the attention and acclaim that it has, by reviewers, isn't only that it exfoliates the skin, but also due to the price of this item. Where exfoliaters are unreasonably exorbitant in price, this is generally priced sensibly at Walgreens and other retailers, approximately $3-$7, along with the Mint Julep face mask which also shares similar characteristics as this, from the amount of people who love the product to its affordable price point. I read articles to see how many times a week it was advisable to use this product and I've encountered many websites with diverse recommendations from every day to 3-4 times a week to once a week or two. For me, I try to use it twice a week or every 3-4 days when I feel that dirt and dead skin cells accumulate on my face. That should be a decent amount. You don't want to use it too much or not too often, because if you use it too much, you're not allowing the new and fresh skin to breathe, because you're constantly ridding it from your face, and as a result you will first notice that your skin will become dry and then dehydrated and also sensitive and inflamed, and if you wait for an extended period of time before you exfoliate your face, the oil, dirt and dead skin cells will accumulate and will result in breaking your face out with pimples. So, two times a week or once every 3-4 days for me. Overall, 5/5 for the product.

The product works as described. I watch the product demonstration at HSN. I decided to purchase it (through Amazon) because I love how well the scrub worked on non stick cookware. When we began to use it, it did clean the surface of the dishes and pans well. We even gave one to my sister in law. The only issue was after 5 days of normal use the sponge began to flake/peel off. This is very disappointing since the Scotch Brite Sponge that you get in Costco are cheaper and last a lot longer. I am not sure if I will continue to buy this product.



As stated before, it works as promised, but it does not last. The happy face sponge, now has a chipped tooth. :(

Let's just say that my 46 year old skin faces numerous challenges. One morning I woke up determined to go find a face primer to help correct my skin's problems. I hopped in the car and drove 45 minutes to the nearest Sephora. 3 hours later I left Sephora after having tried on every single solitary primer they carry. Nothing helped! I purchased nothing. I left feeling hopeless and dejected after that. Surely if all those expensive miracle products wouldn't help then nothing short of lazer surgery was going to.



On the my way back home home I had to stop at a drugstore to pick up a few essentials for my family. While I was racing up and down the aisles getting stuff, somehow I happned to notice the Aveeno Positively Radiant Tinted Moisterizer, SPF 30 Medium. I recalled having used the Radient moisturizer SPF 30 in the past and that I liked it so I tossed this new one in the cart althtough I expected nothing from it other than an orangy, streaky mess on my face. Thinking I was just going to have to go right back in and return the product, I opened it when I got back in the car and put some on right there in the parking lot.

It took a minute to get it blended and worked into my skin and then all of a sudden WOW! I could not believe my eyes. I looked so much younger, healther, and more refreshed than I have in years!



Blotchy dark mottled spots all over my face from sun damage - erased! All of a sudden, poof! Cannot see them. (And before this nothing I have ever found covered them up!)

Gigantic pores - minimized significantly

Crows feet - SO much softened

Dry areas - looked soft and well hydrated but not greasy

Under eye circles - almost gone!

Red areas - gone

Overall tired, stressed, grayish cast of my skin - replaced with a luminous, radiant,healthy, natural glow from within look. No weird looking sparkles in the product either.

Greasiness - replaced by a lovely even finish all over my face. Not a dry powdered look. Not an overly shiny "dewy" look. Just soft, velvety, slightly moist skin.

And I have one more for you too! For 30 years I have worn foundation every single day. Now I no longer need foundation and I look better than I ever did with it on! You have no idea how freeing this is!



I have never written a review in my life but I could not let this one go by without alerting others to the awesome potential this might have for you too. It goes on thick at first (like a suncreen would) but don't worry. Just keep blending until you have a nice even layer of it on and voila! That heaviness goes away and the product just seems to evaporate into you skin. Feels light and skin can breath.



Lastly, I tried the product from this line designed for the eyes. OW! Stung and burned like crazy on my skin for a long time. Oh well, can't hit it everytime, right? I would not recommend the eye stuff though.
