I'm a 53 year old woman with combination dry/ somewhat oily T-zone skin, rosacea, fine wrinkles skin. These are absolutely amazing!!! I cut them in half to save money...1/2 pad is plenty. I was hesitant if a cleansing disk pad could really be any different than a washcloth and facial cleanser.....BIG difference I found out!! At my age, I've tried many products....this trumps them all!!. My face actually glows now. This product evens out skin tone, helps with fine wrinkles, smooths and IS actually resurfacing my face. Plenty of foaming product on disc, I use on my neck, chest, upper arms (those bothersome small bumps-gone!) and hands...what a difference! My hands are subject to hot water on a daily basis and were most definitely showing their age...now they are looking younger between this and a good hand cream. All makeup easily removed, rinses easily as well. Results are immediate after first use...have been using almost a month now. I bought some for my 35 year old daughter who's on medication for acne problems due to Cushing's Disease...she says her skin is improving with each use. I just started using this Roc product and other Roc products... and am SOLD on this line. Before Roc, I basically used L'oreal or Oil of Olay poducts. Hope this long review helps someone out there.

I bought this for my acne scars (boxcar type) on my cheeks. wasn't sure how to use this, or how frequent, so I looked up "microneedling" on Google Scholar. The studies I found used microneedling with 1.0 - 1.5 mm needles, with intervals a minimum of 4-6 WEEKS. Read: ONCE A MONTH at the earliest. It takes our skin about 21 days to heal itself, and even longer to start producing collagen. Micrneedling more frequently (daily, every other day, twice a week or once a week) will do more damage than harm. Most scars will need a total of 4 treatments = 4 months to see results.



PRINCIPLE: During treatment, the needles pierce the stratum corneum, creating holes without damaging the epidermis. "Microneedling leads to the release of growth factors which stimulate the formation of new collagen (natural collagen) and elastin in the papillary dermis. In addition, new capillaries are formed-this neovascularisation and neocollagenesis following treatment leads to reduction of scars." They said it is okay to see blood -- and in fact this is how they determine that microneedling was effective. I suppose if you don't see any, you probably did not penetrate the skin deep enough to stimulate collagen production.



POST-CARE: The subjects in the study were adviced to use antibiotics on their face for two to three days after the procedure. This makes sense, since we are purposefully "damaging" the skin. Sun exposure was avoided. SUNSCREEN IS MANDATORY to avoid post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.



Needless to say, sterilize the roller (I'm not really convinced it's titanium, loooks like silver to me) before and after every use to avoid bacterial growth. I have a UV toothbrush sterilizer that came with my sonicare toothbrush, which I use on my roller sometimes as well.



Microneedling with dermaroller can be combined with chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and fractional resurfacing, to maximize the benefits. Do not do them back to back and make sure you give your skin enough time to heal.

Over the last year I have become more aware of the small lines on my face and became more interested in various moisturizers and hydration creams. What I look for a cream besides reducing the appearance of wrinkles is pleasant feel and either no scent or light pleasant scent. Recently I tried Burt's Bees' Intense Hydration Treatment Mask for the first time. I applied after a long hot shower to my face and neck. The intense hydration treatment mask goes on as a cream and stayed wet and pliable for the 10 minutes I left it on. The cream has a light pleasant scent - reminded me of a clover smell. After 10 minutes most of cream was absorbed by the skin and what was left I removed with a warm washcloth.



My skin felt very nice right after the application of the mask. In the morning when I looked in the mirror the tiny wrinkles around my eyes were practically invisible. The skin looked smooth and taught. The skin felt softer than normal. I enjoyed the feeling of my skin right after a hot shower and it also gave me really nice results in the morning. The scent was very light and did not keep me from falling asleep (some stronger scents do).



I like the packaging of Burt's Bees' Treatment Mask. It comes in a tube with a large cap so you store the tube upside down standing on the cap . I am attaching a collage of 2 photos under the customers photos and you see the cap in photo #1. The gravity keeps the cream at the opening and it is easy to get out even when there is just a little bit left. I also was impressed that the new tube came sealed with foil, so you are guaranteed to have fresh and wet cream when you open it (photo #2).

I am 39 years old and have very sensitive skin, and because of that I had been using fragrance-free products by Clinique. I always thought I looked pretty young until I saw a picture of myself at 29. My skin was so much better looking! After doing some research I decided to give this a try based upon the favorable reviews, low cost and the fact that it's fragrance free. (Perfumed lotions make me sneeze).



After one use, I noticed a few things. My skin did tingle slightly for a couple of hours, but it wasn't painful; just mildly annoying. But there was no rash or irritation. My cheeks looked a bit red, however it appeared more like a natural tint. The second thing I noticed is that my skin almost immediately looked better! I know that sounds crazy. I also didn't need to put on any blush because of the tint I mentioned. As the day wore on, the tingling went away. (I also started using Neutrogena Light Night Cream for a moisturizer- it's fragrance-free, and doesn't have sunscreen which I don't need every day.)



I applied it the next morning again and noticed the same things. I decided to try it every other day and have to say I REALLY notice a difference! My skin looks almost as good as my pic from ten years ago.



I think the minor discomfort I mentioned is due to my sensitivity to most products, but because I am so pleased with the results I'm sticking with it.



Update: After using this for a week I no longer have any sensitivity and my skin is incredibly soft and luminous!



Update 11/2013: I'm going to be turning 46 and still use and love this item!

I use the Regenerist Night Recovery Moisturizing Treatment at night on my whole face and neck, after washing with Dove Regenerating Calming Night Soap (liquid, navy colored bottle) and I use Olay Smooth Skin Exfoliating Scrub about once or twice a week at night. In the morning, I use Avon ANew Eye Lift Cream around my eyes and then Olay Regenerist Deep Hydration Regenerating Cream on my entire face and neck. I think this combo, particularly the Olay Regenerist products have made me look YEARS younger--with the grace of God, of course. I added the Regenerist Night Recovery about 2 months ago, and it made a difference for me. Lots of people at work tell me I look younger, too. My skin feels great! It's firm and velvet soft. And wait till I tell you, I have lost 50 pounds in the last 9 months! Why do you care? Well, my face should be sagging all over the place with that kind of a weight loss, especially since I carried that weight for years and my skin was well-stretched. I should need a crane just to hold the wrinkles up! Guess what??? It's firm and velvet soft. I won't say I don't own a wrinkle, but they are very very minimal. I've had people tell me I don't have wrinkles, too, but there are little tiny ones there hiding in the makeup. Oh, I'm 57, too--so don't think I'm 25 and telling you I don't have wrinkles like they tell you in those adds on TV. It smells great, too. I am sensitive to certain products with perfumes, but not this. No problems.



I am mighty pleased with these products, BUT, use them awhile. Nuthin' happens overnight, Hon! (We call everybody Hon in Balmer) (That translates to Baltimore).



Update March 2007. I switched the morning treatment from Olay Regenerist Deep Hydration Regenerating Cream to Olay Total Effects 7x. It is great. Super creamy.



Update September 2007--Still using same combination of products--still working great. Am 58 now and have lost 59 lbs and am still quite pleased with these products.
